25/12/1 目的語がある？ない？他動詞と自動詞の違いは難しいぞ

絶対に避けて通れないのが 動詞の理解。

私は「他動詞」と「自動詞」の違いが明確にわからないのが課題。英語ができない理由の一つ。

AIに問題を出してもらって復習する。

基本ルール

まずは、基本ルールを整理してみる。

・他動詞 (Transitive Verb) → 「目的語 (O)」が必要。誰か・何かに対して「〜する」という働きかける動詞。
・自動詞 (Intransitive Verb) → 「目的語 (O)」を取らない。修飾語 (M) が中心。状態や動作そのものを表す。

練習問題（SVOMで整理）

目的語があるかないか。これだけで動詞の性質が変わる。

1. coffee / drinks / he / in the morning → He(S) drinks(V) coffee(O) in the morning(M)
2. arrives / the train / at 7 o’clock → The train(S) arrives(V) at 7 o’clock(M)
3. songs / sings / the girl / loudly → The girl(S) sings(V) songs(O) loudly(M)

同じ動詞でも使い方で変わる！

同じ動詞でも他動詞や自動詞にもなれる。

語彙力が求められる。やっかいだ。
